Establishing a safe Yoga practice is integral for our physical well-being and to help us enjoy our practice for many, many years to come. In Yoga in Practice we delve into our practice on the Yoga mat. Examining the foundations of bio-mechanics of safe movement including proper alignment principles for both the poses themselves, transitions between poses and sequencing.

This training is part of the 5-module series towards becoming a 200-hour certified Yoga Teacher. However, this training is open to anyone with an interest in deepening their understanding of the physical practice of Yoga asana (poses) and alignment.

To nourish, invigorate and connect are the energetic elements behind our practice. When we understand safe movement and holding patterns for our poses, we take our practice to a whole new level. Building strength and mobility, reducing tension and experiencing the power of each pose. Your practice on the mat will be forever changed for the better after this training.

Yoga in Practice Reviews

Lisa’s module on Yoga in Practice was full of valuable knowledge and information regarding biomechanics and pose breakdown. More important, we received individual, hands-on alignment advice and corrections important for a safe practice. We learned how to cue poses, watch for proper alignment, and offer modifications for different populations. I thoroughly loved this course and I hope to take future workshops! – Leda G.

I completed the Yoga in Practice training with Lisa at the end of 2022, and I loved every minute of it. We all know some basic yoga poses: Child’s Pose, Downward Dog, Warrior, to name a few, and we’ve all given and received pointers for alignment. Lisa has taken the poses we know and love and broken them down anatomically. During Yoga in Practice, Lisa took us through a multitude of poses and taught us how to set each one up by providing knowledge based on the functional anatomy of the joints, muscles, bones, tendons, and ligaments. Lisa used the way we were doing poses and offered adjustments with positioning, visualizations, and even breathing to promote strength, stability, and control to build a solid foundation for them. Yoga in Practice is an amazing course that has taken my practice to a whole new level and has taught me the beginnings of what my body is truly capable of. Highly recommend!!! – Sarah R.

Lisa’s Yoga in Practice training is absolutely wonderful. I’ve been doing yoga for a few years, and thought I knew alignment from the cues I receive in regular classes. However in this training, Lisa breaks down each pose in such a way that you truly understand what your body is doing, and how to guide yourself and others into safe, proper alignment. She manages to break down the complexities of our bodies into a format that yogi’s of all skill levels are able to comprehend fully. The hands-on training has absolutely taken my practice to a new level. I can’t recommend this training enough – your practice will be transformed! – Laura P.
