Explore the fascia, biomechanics, and postural assessment techniques every yoga teacher needs to confidently work one-on-one.

Take your teaching to the next level with Anatomy Principles for Yoga, an advanced training designed for yoga teachers who want to deepen their knowledge of functional anatomy, fascia, and biomechanics. Building on the foundational concepts from your 200-hour YTT or our Yoga in Practice module, this training explores how the 12 fascial lines influence movement, mobility, and the connection between fascia and emotional trauma.

This course is ideal for teachers working with private clients or interested in offering therapeutic or personalized sessions. You’ll learn how to conduct postural assessments, create customized sequences, and understand the impact of the body’s anatomical structures on practice and healing.

What You Will Learn:

  • In-depth study of the 12 fascial lines

  • Exploration of fascia’s role in chronic pain and trauma

  • Sequencing strategies for active and yin yoga practices based on fascia

  • Hands-on instruction in postural assessment and individualized planning

  • Certificate eligible for 300-hour YTT credits and Continuing Education

Pre-Requisites:

  • 200-hour YTT certificate +/or Yoga for Wellness
  • Established Yoga practice

Each day will open and close with meditation, followed by theory discussion and practical study. A final assignment will be given in order to receive your certificate of completion.

Anatomy Principles for Yoga can be taken on its own, or can be included as 22.5-hours towards your 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training Certificate. Within the 300-hour YTT track, training modules can be taken in any order.
