Description
Come for the book launch. Stay for the stories, the conversation, and a cup of tea.
Join Lisa Greenbaum to celebrate Beyond the Pose: Lessons from the Yamas and Niyamas for Mindful, Authentic Living. Part memoir and part exploration of yoga philosophy, this book is about the choices we make in everyday life: how we show up for others, how we care for ourselves, and what we learn along the way.
What Beyond the Pose is About..
“This book is about life. My life, but also yours. It’s how we honour each other, take care of each other and also take care of ourselves. The yamas and niyamas, known as the first two limbs of the eight limbs of yoga are about our moral and ethical responsibility to society (yamas) and also personally (niyamas). It is a book about the path of Yoga that has nothing to do with what we look like, what shape we can twist ourself into or what we know about yoga before we start.”
Lisa will read from the book, share the stories behind it, and spend time meeting readers and signing copies. Tea and coffee will be served. You can purchase a book at the event, pre-order for the event or bring your own.
